If you do not have online access to the SASSA web portal, you can also change your phone number at the SASSA office. Bring your identification documents and application ID number to the SASSA office nearest to you. SASSA will verify your documents and update your phone number, or you can call 0800 60 10 11 to update your new cell number.
Changing the SASSA phone number without an Application ID
Application ID is a unique six-digit number that you receive when applying for an SRD grant. You can easily find your application ID number at the SASSA web portal. Navigate to the SASSA web portal, enter your credentials, and click on submit. You will get your application ID; follow the above steps and change your cell number.
Report unauthorized phone number

- navigate to https://srd.sassa.gov.za/sc19/auth.
- Enter your credentials, and you will confirm that your contact details are changed without your permission.
- If you agree, click to submit, and your report will be successfully submitted to SASSA.
